701 Algerita – An Inexpensive Path to a Custom-Built Home

The owner requested the builder to pay special attention to practical details in this home.  For example, a sliding drawer has been installed under the dishwasher.  This provides extra storage for large kitchen items, but more importantly raises the dishwasher so loading and unloading won’t hurt your back or knees.  A full bathroom and closet were added to the second floor so the game room could flex into a bedroom for a teen.  You won’t find these features in other homes.  Another practical additional is the foam insulation throughout the home.  This is a very energy-efficient home and costs the owner approximately $200/month in total utility bills!
